Hello poppet.
You want a cup of tea and a chat in my kitchen? Oooh, me too! Me too!
I hoped you'd come by.
{You're my favourite.}
:-)
And, look, a teapot in your honour!
I love using a teapot for tea.
It makes me feel oh-so grown-up.
I had some girlie friends round this week, for a bit of craftivity...and lots and lots of nattering.
{I love nattering with my girlie friends, don't you? It's one of my absolute favourite things to do.}
I got going on some Valentine's crafting which I can't wait to share with you.
My Heart and Cinnamon Garland is in the new edition of The DIY Club's gorgeous ezine. There's a version below this post if you'd like a look.
Oooh, I have a question for you....what do you think of this for a bit of eye-candy?
It's from my colour inspiration file. I really like the pale grey-blue paired with all the white.
But I la-la-la-love it as a kitchen too.
Can you guess which film it used as its inspiration? I'll be reviewing that very kitchen on Monday.
{Well, I say reviewing....it'll be more of an ogling-sesh.}
For me? Oh a tea pot and all...you shouldn't have!! ; )
ReplyDeleteI'm imagining that we (all the lovely girls that drop in at your place from their bloggy worlds) are perched around the bench in the glorious kitchen in your photo...all sitting around having tea and chatting about all things kitcheny & life in general...
Looking forward to Monday's review! Wishing you a restful weekend and may it be ironing free. Alison x
Thank you for your cup of tea even if, as a good Italian, I prefer the espresso coffee!
ReplyDeleteThe blue gray is one of my favorite colors and I would use this color in my new home!
This kitchen is gorgeous and also enormous
I wait to see what you made for us ...
Have a wonderful weekend
Mari
Nothing could be better than sitting with girlfriends having tea right now, and doing something creative! How fun. And in that lovely kitchen. You kept us hanging on the movie...I can't imagine! I'll be here Monday!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
I just found your blog through the tickled pink blog hop. Yessss, nothing like tea and freinds for a nice long chat :-) I look forward to following your posts!
ReplyDeleteTea, Crafting, and girlfriends 3 of my most favorite things. Happy Friday Sarah!
ReplyDeleteOooo. I know that kitchen! I know it well. I can't wait for the ogling to begin!Feel free to discuss every detail to death. We'll all just soak it up. And I love the word "poppet" my grampa from England used to call me that. :)
ReplyDeleteThose mugs are fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for leaving such a nice message on my blog!!
Rhiannan xxx
Wouldn't it be nice to sit in that lovely kitchen having tea and a little chit-chat? Yes, I think so too. Congratulations on your garland being in the ezine Sarah...very cool :)
ReplyDeleteLoved the tea & chat, you're so easy to talk to!
ReplyDeleteWill call again soon.
If I came round for tea and a chat it would not be for crafts but for book chat! Have a good weekend xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tea pot with all of the hearts. Looking forward to what all you have to share.
ReplyDeleteI saw your project in The DIY Club ezine yesterday... that's fantastic! I can't wait too see what you have to share with us. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah Sarah!
ReplyDeleteWould love to have a spot of tea in that kitchen...with you of course. It's everything I love and more. My eye is drawn to the floors and the lighting. The size will do on a pinch.
Congrats on being featured on the ezine scene! Awesome! I'm going over to take a peek!
Happy weekend!
~Michelle :)
Oooh, yes, there
ReplyDeleteis nothing like
a cuppa with girl
friends and 'lots
of nattering {love
that!} to make me
smile : ) I remember
really loving the
house in the movie
Something's Gotta Give,
which was set in the
Hamptons....I actually
have some movies that
I now like to watch
simply for the interior
shots, like The Holiday
and Father of the Bride.
Can't wait until your
big reveal!
xx Suzanne
You are going to have one crowded kitchen there girlie!! ;) I would love to have tea with you, you are so sweet to invite us all over!! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVING that kitchen and CONGRATS to you on the feature in the e-zine!! I was paging through it and then I spotted your beautiful work and squealed with excitement!! WOO HOO!!!!
Have a lovely weekend my dearie!
Sarah, i love it when you call me poppet, poppet.
ReplyDeletei'never tasted good tea. there. i've said it! but i'll sip diet coke in a pretty cup. and what's this nattering you speak of? i bet i'd like it. especially if it involves a kitchen like this one (which is a little like mine and a little like Diane Keaton's in SGG).
love your writing voice!

Sarah, what a cute cup for your tea, it suits you well. I cannot wait to see all that you've been waiting to show us, you've peaked my curiosity.
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen , it looks similar to the one in the movie with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson, I think it's called Something's Gotta Give? Anyway, her kitchen in the movie was incredible, the entire home was gorgeous. This one is so roomy I might get lost! Stunning, xoxo tami
So so cute -- and if I ever come have a cup of tea with you in your kitchen you will have to teach me all these new fancy words like nattering and poppet. :) Much love - Greta
ReplyDeleteI love the way you talk to us on your blog...poppet..it reminds me of Mrs. Doubtfire...all of your English terminology...I love hearing it..and that kitchen is so wonderful..so wonderful....and Yes I wil have some tea!
ReplyDeleteYes i like to drinke a cup of tea with you...what a nice teapot !!...and that kitchen is amazing !!!! lovely weekend....love Ria.....xxx.....
ReplyDeleteIf I were really having a cup of tea with you, you would turn around and no longer have your teapot! I had my eye on this Emma Bridgewater teapot for month as there was one listed on "Le Bon Coin"... and when I finally decided to e-mail the person selling it, the ad was gone. I was so mad at myself for hesitating!
ReplyDeleteLove the white ang gorgeous kitchen!
i am right when i say that the kitchen is from something got to give? i love it too actually i love the whole house
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, You are my favorite too, you know :-) We are on day four of being housebound due to snow and I am pulling my hair out. Toys are everywhere, random potato chip bags in strange places, not a clean cup in house and the laundry is overflowing with wet clothes. I so need a cup of tea and a chat!!! Off to put my kettle on. Maybe I can bribe the older kids to play with Wilson for awhile?
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend!
I would so love to visit you and have a cup of tea and I will bring my Blueberry Dump Cake. What fun that would be. I think we share alot of the same inspirations when it comes to decorating. I'm loving that kitchen and the grey/blue walls with all the white cabinets.
ReplyDeletePage 54. :)
ReplyDeleteI will be right over, What shall I bring? Cupcakes?
ReplyDeleteHello sweet Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to know that I'm your favorite, 'cuz you're my favorite, too! Your teapot is so pretty and so are the initial mugs. Very nice kitchen! I love that and it's probably about as big as the main floor on my house!
Hugs, Cindy
Hi again, Sarah,
ReplyDeleteIt is so funny that we were on each others blogs at the same time. Funny too, because I was wishing as I put together today's post that I had asked permission from you to show your refurbished kitchen. I really love it and I thought it would go well with today's theme. I know you want to redo your kitchen again, but I must say, I really love it as is.
And I'm so glad that I am your "favorite"!;)
Hugs, Cindy
Yes, a cup of tea would do me a world of good right now... Thank you! :-D
ReplyDeleteA "craftivity" with some girlfriends sound SO lovely - I do that much too seldom!
Oh, that is indeed a to-die-for kitchen!
Have a lovely weekend!
Helena
My kitchen, and oh so many, have been inspired by that one in "somethings gotta give". You've inspired me to have some girls over for some craftiness and some tea.
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah,
ReplyDeleteDon't mind if I do, a cuppa would be lovely thanks. Can't wait to see the review on Monday. Have a lovely weekend! Leahxx
I love a good cup of tea.

ReplyDeleteOh, and I gave you an award… http://sofiasideas.com/2011/01/26/who-knew-2/
Oh, I just KNEW I was your favorite! How are you lovely lady? I'm so thrilled to be over here today and wish I could be among those girlies that get to come over for tea...although as I am craft challenged I would just have to watch the rest of you in action! :-) Congrats on the feature and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next!
ReplyDeleteVanessa
Hey sweets!!
ReplyDeleteI'm here, thanks so much for the invite! I'll...just...squeeze... in....here. WOW! You do pack a crowd in your kitchen! Could I be a bother and ask for coffee? No! Lovely; yes thanks, milk and two sugars....
Now, let's chat about that kitchen....
xxxx
I agree with you, using a teapot just feels so special. That kitchen is gorgeous! I could really enjoy a pot of tea in there.

ReplyDeleteHi there... just popped over from Happy Homemaker UK... Laura gave you a shout out and I can see why. Love your style, both in writing and home decor! Such an easy read...
