Day 3: Freaking Out...

Jumper: Kookai, Jeans: Crave Maternity, Boots: Marks and Spencers,
Belt: Country Living fair, Hairband: Craft Fair find

Last night, when I was choosing what to wear today, I had my first wobbly moment about putting together this series of 30 different outfits from the 30 items I've picked out. It started when I caught sight of myself in the mirror from behind and it caught me off guard.'Who is that? Oh...it's me...'. Awkward pause while my brain digests my new bod.

I thought this 30 for 30: Maternity Fashion was all going to be a breeze but I suddenly had butterflies in my tummy about being able to do it at all. And with all that's goin' on down there at the moment in my tum, there's not really much room for butterflies as well.

So thank you so much for your lovely comments and emails about this series. It's an odd thing trying to dress yourself when you're changing shape by the hour and your loveliness is helping me along.
You rock.

  3. Lovely photoshoot, you look radiant and I love those jeans. Nice maternity jeans I think are important. My favourite and most expensive part of my maternity wardrobe were my seven for mankinds. I hummed and hawed about purchasing them but thinking back I am so glad I did.

  14. If you are worried about your backside view, I'm sorry to say you'll get no sympathy from me. Your backside makes mine look like the side of a barn!

  24. I have my first ever girl crush. You are beautiful and funny and I LOVE your blog. I adore modern country style and have not found any other blogs dedicated to it. I look at lots of decor/design blogs but most of them require me to cherry pick what I like. Yours gives me images of rooms I would happily copy in total. My biggest dilemma is that I am equally attracted to a modern country/french country aesthetic with layers of netural colours AND a totally bohemian/gyspy style with colour running wild! Must be because I'm a gemini!

  26. It is kind of disconcerting to feel a little like a science experiment when you're pregnant. All the changes are for a good cause, but it's still a little much. I totally get that--not only do I get a bum to match my bump, but I also get a weird pregnancy skin pigmentation under my eyes and on my upper lip (it looks something like a freckle mustache--not my favorite). I just had to remind myself to be grateful for the great skin and hair that pregnancy brings me and ignore the rest. You look gorgeous, though! Besides, if the rest of you didn't change a little, your baby wouldn't be able to be healthy and happy. It's worth it--and you'll get back to normal. Until then, enjoy the va-va-voom :).

  40. Awwww, Sarah, you're lovely! And I love how being pregnant and SHOWING that you're pregnant has changed since I was expecting (31 years ago) when maternity fashions were designed by Omar the Tent Maker. It's a great series, and fun to see you modeling.
