Inspiration Journey Linky Party

Hello poppett,

I am loving. your. outfit. So gorgeous.

Welcome to Modern Country Style's Inspiration Journey Linky Party.

Shall we sit down for a moment and have a recap of the week?

Want a cuppa tea? Hot chocolate with mountains of whipped cream, sprinkled chocolate and marshmallows? Wine?

Mmmmm, yeah, thought so. :-)

Now then.

On Monday, I showed you my Book Art inspiration images. Weren't the sculptures mind-boggling?

On Tuesday, I shared my hopes for entertaining in our garden this summer, using Al Fresco dining images.

And then, yesterday, I hope you enjoyed my post about How To Create Belgian Style.

What I love about blogs that use Inspiration Images is watching how they use the images to help shape their own thoughts.

Seeing how this image of a beautiful veranda...

might spark an idea as simple as this for eating outdoors....

Or how looking at pictures of Belgian Style...

...might be the beginning of designing a room that borrows heavily from that look but becomes what *you* want.

Inspiration ideas aren't there to dictate what we should be doing but I like to think of them as a spring board to finding out what *I* want to do with my home, or my crafts, or my wardrobe, or my garden.

In the next couple of weeks, I'll be sharing in more detail about how to make Belgian Style work for YOU by creating a softened version of the look that can work in any home.

Plus, I've been working on some crochet projects that I'd love to show you.

Oh, and I want to have a brainstorm about accent colours in the kitchen as part of the Kitchen Makeover series.

My mind is all a-buzz.

So, tell me, what flips your flops?

You can link up Inspiration posts for crafts, your home, garden, clothes....really and truly, whatever inspires you.

Here are two things I'd love you to do.

1) Follow Modern Country Style if you're liking what you see here.

2) Link back to me in your post so other people can come and share the love.

Not rules...but I'm hopeful. ;-)

Now, take it away..... (just click on the button and follow the instructions and give me a shout if you need a hand)...

  2. For this week, I will just enjoy all the linky's people put in there, but I think your party idea is so fun.

And since I'm attending, I think a cup of super chocolately cocoa with marshmallows would hit the spot :)

  3. Oooh Oooh Oooh! I'm one of the first to the party rather than fashionably late as I tend to be, dahling... ;) I've brought freshly baked scones, jam and whipped double cream to go with our tea... Mmmm. (oooh I've made myself hungry now.)

Lovely series and hopefully the first of more!

  5. By the way, did I tell you how your Belgian post KNOCKED ME OUT! Rustic warmth with French influences and effortless luxury - that is ME! My style quiz result says so! I'd say just a teensy-weensy bit more colour to those spaces, and that's me knocked out with a feather. Can't wait to hear more about this gorgeous style!

  7. it was a rough nite, and i didn't have time to bake, baby.

so i've brought italian beef from Portillo's, pizza from Lou Malnati's, and Eli's cheesecake (i'm a Chicago girl) for the fest. :)

i loved this challenge btw and so appreciate your friendship.

can't wait to explore Belgian design together.

    now eat that Chicago deliciousness!

  9. Sarah,
Alrighty! NOW, I understand the concept of your party. Sorry that I was so dense on what you were having! It's alright, my first Party~Lite party was the same . .. only there I was "in person". HA! Your photos are, truly, inspirational. What a gracious hostess. . .sit back now and enjoy your company!

  10. Sarah, this is such a fantastic idea for a party. It really had me thinking. There was just so much that inspires me. I hope you decide to continue it. Out of all the linky's I've seen, this would have to be the one that's got me the most interested. Thanks for hosting. It's 11:30pm here, and I am looking forward to having more time on the weekend to see what inspires everyone else. I'm seeing it as an opportunity to really narrow down and have on cyber record my inspiration file. Thanks again. Loving the Belgian inspiration too.

    Cheers,
    Lisa x

  11. Sarah,

You inspire me. Your blog is so warm and inviting and always a bit of fun. Your teaching style is lovely. Thank you.

My mom always taught me to bring a hostess gift to the party. I just found a darling set of litte yellow plates in a rod iron stand . . . from the inexpensive HOME GOODS store right by my house. Wish you were my neighbor . . . I would pop it right over to you. (along with my white chocolate apricot scones.)

    Thanks for hosting.

    Fondly,
    Glenda

  21. Hi Miss Sarah~ I linked up my cottage bedroom update - it was inspired by Charles Faudree and a picture of an inspiration room I have- should I have posted the bedroom inspiration post instead of the bedroom post? If I goofed- let me know and I will come back and add the other link and you can delete this one. Thanks for hosting!! Hugs, Courtney

  27. I am so happy to find your lovely blog! This is how I live my life and decorate my home, inspiration. I call it dreams over at my blog. I've always done it even before I had a blog. That's how my brain works. I love the age of technology where we can just have a photo at the click of a button. My magazine stash is not nearly so overwhelming. Still love those too though. I'm your newest follower. I'll be back to participate in your party. Thanks for hosting and nice to meet you!

  30. I'll have to take a cup of liquid refreshment from the sidelines for this party as life's just been too busy this last week. But I can't wait to browse through the lovely submissions! You've got my curiosity piqued with the mention of crochet so I'm looking forward (as I always do) to your forthcoming posts.

    Have a lovely weekend!

  31. Sarah, this was fun....I want to do this again. As you can tell I'm a newbie. This was my first time to link up with anyone and my thumbnail picture that I linked up with ended up cutting my model's head off (heehee). Sorry about that...I'll be better at it next time. Happy weekend to you.
