Hey buttercup,
Do you ever wonder how to put together a
Modern Country Colour Scheme?
{I explained how I narrow down my choices kitchen-wise, using only images that I'd give a 10 out of 10?}
I do exactly the same for choosing colours.
Certain images just jump out at me.
Watch me drool.
Actually, best not.
It isn't my most attractive look...
See, here are some of my
c o l o u r s c h e m e l u s t s.
Today's offering is
grey-blue-green
and creamy off-white,
with mid-toned unpolished wood.
These became the basis for our
Modern Country Colour Scheme.
I'm really hoping that reading these posts will prevent you having to go down this route...
A stockpile of sample pots the size of a small continent.
The colours in these beautiful homes helped me to narrow down my choices to get to here.........

That pretty bed room reminds me a lot of yours, Sarah. The colors are so similar, and the style, even the shape of the room with it's lower ceiling. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh, you are converting me to creamy, dreamy colors you know!
ReplyDeleteI love the grey-blue-greens, too. I'm trying to decide on a grey for our bedroom. It's surprising how difficult is is to choose a paint color. I've been working on it for months! Have a great weekend, Sarah :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, Thanks for stopping by, and your nice comment, this is how I imagine Cotswold, love your recent post, especialialy the bedroom colors,

We used a blue/green/gray in our room. I love it! It is amazing though how the color "changes" with the time of day and lighting. I still love it though!
ReplyDeleteWe are planning on giving our little guest room/office a makeover. I'm looking for a creamy ivory color. Something warm and inviting. Have a great weekend Sarah!
Similar blue/green/white being applied this moment on basement walls!

Oooh...I am lovin' your paint can tower! All of those colors are dreamy :) I have NO idea where I can buy Farrow & Ball where I live :( Boo....
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday love!!

oooh! What color is estuary? I think I may want a dress in it.
ReplyDeleteF&B devotee here too, we could do with swapping little sample sheets then at least it would halve our tin towers.
ReplyDeletesarah, i am also attracted to mid-toned unpolished wood these days...and certainly they look great with grey-blue-greens. thank you for sharing your color choice "procedural" with us! xx T
ReplyDeleteI love the color palette of your home. Blue green and blue gray are my favorite wall colors. We used blue gray in the LR & DR. I think using the same tones throughout your house makes it feel tranquil and it flows better. I had a different color in every room at our last house. Not sure what I was thinking :) I'm learning.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend, Sarah Sarah!
xoxo

ReplyDeletehi honey.

Deliciousness is right sweet Sarah!
ReplyDeleteThats a great way to come to a conclusion for decorating choices.
My sister does that with clothing...when she tries it on it has to be at least better than a 7 out of 10 in her eyes to purchase it. :)
I cant wait to read more!
have a lovely weekend sweetie!! xo

Such beautiful pictures and I love the colors that you chose for you home. That bedroom looks so cozy just like yours sweetie! :)

All gorgeous Sarah. I'm a warm grey with winter white gal myself - but it took me a while (and as many sample pots as you have!) to find my groove. I love those little snippets of your kitchen - the glass jars, the timber shelves, the cookbooks...
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful weekend in your little country paradise!
You are a girl who truly know what she loves . . . I like that about you.
ReplyDeletefondly,
Glenda
And the crowd roars for more :) Such deliciousness, as always XOL

Happy weekend.
Love the colors and I really like that wooden bench. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm loving those colours too - so soothing and easy to live with xo
ReplyDeleteThis post reminds me we must start collecting ideas for paint colours for the outside of our house!

Whenever you do this, I find myself staring longingly at my Farrow and Ball color cards ... trying desperately to narrow down my choices. You're torturing me!!!
