Day 24: Assess Your Body

Coat: John Rocha, Jumper: Dorothy Perkins, Skirt: Crave Maternity
Shoes: Doctor Marten, Hairband: Craft Fair, Necklace: Gift from Husband

Well? Did you have a rummage through your wardrobe?
Has Pimp Your Wardrobe: Mission 1 been accomplished?

Time for Mission 2?
Assess your body shape.

What are your good bits? Long legs? Slender Ankles? Toned arms?
Aaaaaaaand what are your not-so-good bits?
The aim of any outfit you put together should be to highlight your first list, and to play down the second.

But here's the catch. Don't share the bad-bits list with anyone. Ever.
Chances are that no one will have noticed....unless you tell them. And who wants to draw attention to parts that might not be quite right?

Not me, so...

shhh!

  1. You are adorable Sarah. I'm purging this weekend and I've been assessing my body for the last 20yrs. I know what's what! Except that this second pregnancy is another game changer of course! All for the good. cheers,

  2. I love that -- don't tell anyone about the "bad bits." As women I feel like we are quick to point out our flaws, but never do we ever say what we like about ourselves. As always, you look gorg!

  3. You look so cute, Sarah! And I think that is such a good idea to not point out the "bad parts"...but I will have to do that from this point on, because I must confess to having already pointed them all out many times over! ;) {Why exactly I am not sure, but it is true nonetheless!} And I read your last post on getting rid of things that don't flatter, and you're so right! Must do this immediately! :)

    Hugs,
    Jenni

  4. I've not accessed my closet or wardrobe yet... uhm, need to do that.
Have a taken mental notes on my body...and haven't written one word of that-- lest it be incriminating!

But...I'm going to get right on it!

as usual love this little outfit-- seems a bit chilly-- were you cold in this one?
Oh the hair band is adorable-- my daughter dropped the boys off today on her way to school and she was wearing one of these that she'd crocheted it was pink and grey and very flattering! (she was my little girl who loved hats, so not surprised for the crocheted hair bow)She wear it all well!

    take care- Pat

  10. Okay, I'm sorry if you get this comment twice because something weird happened....anyhooo

That is so true! If you tell anybody your bad bits then it makes you more self conscious because you know they know and might be looking!

Very cute outfit - I can see you and the baby have been growing - And you both look gorgeous if I may say so!!!

  14. Another gorgeous outfit!! You're wearing your pregnancy so well :-)

I've started the wardrobe purge ... and it's astonishing how hard it is to get rid of some of that old stuff that I never wear anymore!
