Don't the colour schemes in these girls' bedrooms
look completely serene and gorgeous?
Neutral havens of calm and gentleness.
I love them....
but only on the pages of a magazine.
{Shock, horror...}
Yes, looking at these beautiful images made me decide that I definitely
prefer children's rooms to have a little bit more personality.
Not as much as last week's BRIGHTS post.
{after all, they're not called BEDrooms for nothing}
but I think I need a little bit more...
...more something...
But what could that be?
Find out this Friday....
when I'll be sharing my ideal colour scheme
for a gorgeous girls' bedroom.
And, in the meantime, did you see this over on Modern Country Style's Facebook, when we were chatting over How Thin Is Too Thin? after my post on Kate Middleton's gorgeous teal dress.

They do look serene... but I totally think a little more colour would be good. (Did anyone say neutral background infused with splashes of colour?) Looking forward to finding out what you decide on! :)
ReplyDeleteI will say I love those woven lined baskets in the second image though!
Wow, what amazing rooms!

These kids rooms are amazing! I love them all and think that there are many ideas that you could use in your new space!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing all about your little one,
Elizabeth
Can't wait to see your choices C: Small one's room is: one wall blackboard and the rest, tiffany blue. Love it.
ReplyDeleteSarah,
ReplyDeleteI'll be back to see your gorgeous girl's choice. I adore the beige scheme with wallpaper on your post!
Fondly,
Pat
Love the idea of these gorgeous little girls' room but the reality might prove to be something else. Most little girls I know would at some time or another have a spill or two on those lovely cream coloured rugs :( Something with a little bit of forgiveness might make for happier mummy and little girls alike :)... and at least one wall with a lovely bit of colour too!
ReplyDeleteThis rooms are beautiful, but, like you said, Sarah, they need a little something more. Who really lives like that anyway?
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous rooms!

Just a thought, it is possible to buy bed spreads and have them dyed to your own custom colour. This should help achieve total colour control of your bedroom.
