Well, hello there, rabbits,
I really am finding myself thinking about dining rooms a silly amount at the moment. I have a million zillion ideas floating around in my head.
It's moved firmly into obsession territory.

One aspect of my enthusiasm is how to make dining spaces work

To really and truly earn their keep.
It's a fine line between wanting the kitchen and eating areas to flow well but still allowing dirty saucepans to be hidden from guests.
A very fine line indeed.
I love the way this Belgian Style kitchen and dining room have been planned (for more beautiful Modern Country Belgian Style spaces and tips on how to get the look, simply click on the link).
The change of flooring between the two spaces allows a degree of separation between each room.
Over the next couple of weeks,
I'll be sharing how I've tried to create that link
between kitchen and dining room in our home.
Did I say obsessed?

I love that fire place as well between the kitchen and living space. The changes of flooring is so subtle, it is really great work!
ReplyDeleteOh, I need to know exactly how to do that! Fab!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait, Sarah! Love the Belgian look. Beautiful.

I can just see you making a giant pan of popcorn right there. I've always wanted a kitchen that made sitting at the dining room table a foregone conclusion. I want a bathroom that reminds me to take off my makeup and scrub my face as well. I know these things exist.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Sarah!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you are loving this.

Love it !!....xxx....love...
ReplyDeleteOh Sarah, I must say I am a little obsessed with that fireplace.
ReplyDeleteLove the plank table. I've been watching for one for about the last year and fingers crossed this summer will bring me one C:
ReplyDeleteI'm working on that fine line these days... Opening the space, but still keeping a little secret territory in the kitchen!
ReplyDeleteLove that subtle change in flooring - it works really well. Looking forward to more kitchen inspiration, it's on my to do list after I finish the lounge!
ReplyDeleteEvidently, the Belgians decorate as well as they cook.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing how you make this work in your own home, it should prove interesting.
ReplyDeleteThe glue-down technique is much like the floating technique, however, the Vinyl planks are glued at once to the subfloor with the usage of a sturdy adhesive. This technique is greater time-eating and tough than the floating technique, so it's miles nice left to expert installers. Vinyl Plank Flooring Nashville
