This warm weather has had our whole family dashing outside to play, sit and work in our lovely garden. I have my seeds bought and my seedlings at the ready. Are you gearing up for some planting-action too?!
Today, I wanted to share these images of Vintage-style gardens. It's a look that's hard not to fall for: the blend of older, well-loved pieces, especially when mixed with pretty country fabrics is a positively heady combination.

Sarah, such gorgeous images!!! We have been working around the property clearing trees, brush, etc., trying to get ready for spring, but it takes so much work here. At least a weekend of rain has really "greened" things up:-)

ReplyDeleteI have my sweet peas bushing up nicely in the greenhouse.
We don't so much have vintage, but bits from all over the place...a giant stone from when I lived by the seaside, a piece of hardcore from under Carnegie Hall (! sounds odd, but it's all glittery), a log from the Danube(?) in Prague. You get the idea????

ReplyDeleteHi Sarah... Snow is falling on the prairies...again!! Spring is around the corner, it has to be! We have moved to a new farm and this will be our first summer of getting a new yard organized .. Lots of renos have been completed inside and it is time to move to the out doors! Stay tuned! Loved your spring garden pictures and I recognize that pretty fabric bag of yours! Take care!
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous, inspirational gardens. We have just moved and hastily dug and planted a veg garden and thrown a load of herbs in to the borders. Just waiting for the poor things to bravely bare their heads in this chilly wind! Can't wait for warm weather to be out pottering :-)

ReplyDeleteTrying to guess what some of the lovely fabrics are in the pictures. Can recognise some as Cabbages and Roses; 3 inch Stripe Linen - Raspberry, Hatley Linen - Hat Pink and Hatley Linen - Hat Cerise I think. Not sure what the other great fabrics are?
ReplyDeleteWe have been stocking Cabbages and Roses fabrics for a few years and they are a definite favourite.
We have just moved to a house with a large mature garden. At moment it's more of a case of cutting back giant buddleia that has gone mad than appreciating the wild flowers!
