The kiddiewinks have broken up from school, and, in this magical week before Christmas, I always love to have a bazillion awesome Christmas Craft Ideas.
Here are ten of my favourites for you to dive in and enjoy....
1. Make a Christmas wreath.
To get you on your way, here's a link to a post I wrote about creating your own wreath base cheaply and easily from your own back garden...
Making your own wreath is a lot more fun and a lot less work than you'd imagine. The hardest bit is persuading yourself to get out there in this cold weather!
2. Gorgeous angel's wings...
Wouldn't these look amazing up on your wall? Perhaps with fairy lights woven around?
3. Rudolph Wall-Mounted Stag's Head
Make a Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer stag's head. Let's move swiftly on from the idea that it looks as though you've shot Rudolf....and onto the idea that this would be great fun to make with children...
4. Christmas Pudding Cooking
I'm not a fan of traditional Christmas pudding but look at this! What a great alternative: a Malteasers and white chocolate look alike!
5. Felt Christmas Pudding Decoration
Here's the link to the full tutorial on how to make my felt Christmas Pud...Another quick and easy and oh-so-effective raft (can you see a theme emerging here about type of crafts I love?!)...
6. Cookie Bag Gifts
This is a perfectly presented present! An easy-to-make hand-sewn bag containing, within, all your lucky recipient needs to make a tasty batch of Christmas cookies! Extra thoughtful touches like the cinnamon sticks, berries and wooden spoon set this off to perfection.
7. Vintage Candle Jars
Lighting makes the biggest difference to the feel of a room and, at Christmas time, candles say it best. My Vintage Style Candle jars (tutorial here) make a big impact and will get your guests oohing and aahing at their gorgeousness....
8. Handmade Present Tags
A little extra time and effort goes a very long way, and here's a great idea to do just that. These tags are little rectangles of cardboard with hand drawn designs, completed with a small scrap of fabric. Wowzers!
9. Cinnamon and Heart Garland
This is still on of my favourite completed crafts. Several years after I made it, I still have it displayed - a sure sign of a winner! Yes, it does take a little time to make those hearts but it's oh-so-worth-it! (Full tutorial for my Cinnamon And Heart Garland)
10. Simple Felt Nativity Scene
I didn't mean for two of these Christmas Craft Ideas to be felt-related but in for a penny, in for a pound and all that!? This simple felt nativity scene could easily be popped inside your Christmas cards to your nearest and dearest for a beautiful Christmas tree ornament gift...
And how could I leave off the deeper meaning of Christmas? It's so easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of busy-ness at this time of year but, if you're able, take asome precious moments alone to think about this amazing gift....
"Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners...Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honour and glory forever and ever." 1 Timothy 1: 15
May you know God's wonderful love at this special time, and in the eternal years to come....
Until next time,
Sarahx

Timing is not so good....a month ago all these ideas would have been realistic. Please do think about that next year.
