Garden Shed Envy

This time of year always seems to be full of gardening plans for me.
I was looking back at this post from last March,
where I was talking about plans for our back garden.

Some of my plans have come about very nicely indeed.
{I know, I know......Details to come...promise}
And, others?....errrr....not so much.

The summerhouse/super-duper-gorgeous shed idea, in particular.
Our family life is still at the stage where we seem to need to store huge amounts
of what can only be described as 'tat' until it's ready for the next child.

But, one day....

One day.....?

And in the meantime, I can dream.

Will you dream along with me?

And, my friends, if you're lucky enough to be thinking about this for real...
and, to be honest, even if you're not....
then have I got a FAB post for you on Monday....

  2. Really nice post with fantastic photos. I’ve already got the two glass doors salvaged from a 1920’s house and some beautiful old leaded windows. One day there will be a summer house!

  10. Our new little shed is too wee to put anything in there except the lawn mower, bbq and some tools! lol So no pretty potting shed for me either. But I did decorate the outside of it all pretty which I'll hopefully be showing off soon.

I do wish we'd had the room for a great lovely big one that you can actually GET INSIDE. lol

Have a lovely weekend darling! xxx

  16. I can only dream. We are renting, and the only space available in the back yard where we could put something that won't affect the yard too much we put a hot tub on. Not that I mind, mind you. I still loving looking at your pics though - one day... it will happen! :)

  17. Oh Sarah! Swooning in faraway Hobart, Australia. I'm heading straight to Pinterest now to pin these divine shots - hopefully something like that will appear magically on Planet Baby one day! J x

  18. Don't hold your breath Sarah, my two are 22 and 18 and still create a huge mess. I think you aught to plan your shed now as a haven of loveliness and a retreat from five muck machines - it gets worse with age.

  19. Love the pics. We inherited a summer house and use it loads, even when it is not warm outside. Mind you, we did have to move and repaint it twice before we were totally happy. It was well worthh it though!

  22. It would be a dream to have any shed so I can move all gardening-related equipment out of the garage! I would create a real escape - with comfy seating - so one could sit and read for hours! Beautiful ideas.

  23. I walked past a home in our neighborhood the other day and realized that they had a garden shed/studio behind the house. I was insanely jealous and told myself that if had a space like that I would most certainly write a whole lot more than I do now. Then I snapped back to reality. :)

  24. We had a darling shed in our backyard in Minneapolis. Once when my dad was visiting, he built a little deck and railing on the front. We painted it white and there was just enough room for a cute garden chair and a few pots of red geraniums. It was so cute.

  25. Looking forward to Monday!

I love all of the inspiration photos. Dreaming of a little home office in a little shed in the backyard. The question is, is our homeowner's association dreaming this with me? Work with me people!! :)

  34. There is no doubt that white is a nice shed color but since it is prone to dirt, i am thinking otherwise and ended up just confused with the paint that i an going to use.

  35. Great wooden shed inspiration. They seem easy to copy but i think it will need a detailed eye to achieve those looks.
