Stella McCartney's Garden


Oooh, do I have something very gorgeous indeedy for you today.
Stella McCartney was featured in Vogue recently.

If you missed it, here are the images of Stella's incredible garden.



It's exactly what I've been small-garden-loving over the past few weeks
...but on a rather significantly larger scale!!


Remember here, when I talked about Modern Country essentials for small gardens?
We chatted about formal planting....


....including parterres...


and topiary...


and then adding to it with informal, country garden planting.


Soft, feminine and romantic...

Stella's garden is a Modern Country Garden to a tee. 


And if it's romance you're after, how's this for an anniversary present?


Yes...a whole new walled garden!!

And just when I was hoping thinking, 
"Well, the garden's nice but I bet the house is hideous", 
Vogue went and gave us this shot...


Hmmph. But at least she doesn't have her own horses, right?

Oh, wait...

    Oh my, that is one gorgeous garden! I can hardly even imagine anything so lovely especially when I look at what I have going on at my house...flowers with weeds sticking out of them and mole tunnels everywhere :)

    Perfect! Maybe in 30 years or so that's what I hope to achieve. I love the mix of more wild, natural areas and the more formal, built-in parts as well. Thanks for sharing this! I'm just going to go look at this post about 60 more times now.

    That's so funny - I literally just did a post featuring that last image of the front of Stella's house - mesmerising isn't it! It's probably the only image I can think of that I would happily place on my bedroom wall like a teenager lusting after a pop group. Sad how life catches up with you - it used to be hot, young men, and now it's fabulous garden's full of wisteria...sigh!

    I find it amazing that no one else has said it. "If I had her money-I would have a garden like that too". It truly is amazing what a little money can do- hire the right people and BAM- you have a wonderful, magical place to call your own!! It is a pretty amazing place!
