Oooh, do I have something very gorgeous indeedy for you today.
Stella McCartney was featured in Vogue recently.
If you missed it, here are the images of Stella's incredible garden.
It's exactly what I've been small-garden-loving over the past few weeks
...but on a rather significantly larger scale!!
Remember here, when I talked about Modern Country essentials for small gardens?
We chatted about formal planting....
....including parterres...
and topiary...
and then adding to it with informal, country garden planting.
Soft, feminine and romantic...
Stella's garden is a Modern Country Garden to a tee.
And if it's romance you're after, how's this for an anniversary present?
Yes...a whole new walled garden!!
Stella McCartney's a lucky girl...
And just when I was hoping thinking,
"Well, the garden's nice but I bet the house is hideous",
Vogue went and gave us this shot...
Hmmph. But at least she doesn't have her own horses, right?
Oh, wait...
;-)
Stella McCartney's utterly idyllic
Modern Country Garden
is a sight for sore eyes, don't you think?
Oh my, that is one gorgeous garden! I can hardly even imagine anything so lovely especially when I look at what I have going on at my house...flowers with weeds sticking out of them and mole tunnels everywhere :)
ReplyDeleteOOOH it is beautiful:) Makes me want to go out into mine right now.

Gorgeous place! Thanks so much for sharing it!
ReplyDeletePerfect! Maybe in 30 years or so that's what I hope to achieve. I love the mix of more wild, natural areas and the more formal, built-in parts as well. Thanks for sharing this! I'm just going to go look at this post about 60 more times now.
ReplyDeleteI'm envious!!!
ReplyDeleteJust one word - Perfection.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to die of envy ....
ReplyDeleteSeriously jealous here x
ReplyDeleteoh so gorgeous...

ReplyDeleteHaha! I would give my left arm to live in her house, with a view of those gardens. So very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteJeepers, love me those brick walls!
ReplyDeleteKiller formal/meadowy combo - just gorgeous.
Imagine she has a small army of gardners to keep it looking like that! xx
It's beautiful, although a bit formal for my taste. I could happily be weekend visitor.
ReplyDeleteOh that is truly a dream garden! How absolutely gorgeous. So nice to be visiting you over here my friend and catching up on your posts! :-)

Wow! This garden is perfect and just what I imagine when I think of an English garden.
ReplyDeleteI hope that your garden is coming along as you would like. And of course that you are feeling great! I love all of the photos of you and your growing bump, you look happy and healthy.
Have a fabulous day! Elizabeth

ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous. Can we transplant to Canada?
ReplyDeleteWhat an anniversary gift!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit envious..however..if I had this garden, I don't think I'd ever leave home! I see myself becoming a shut-in!
Thanks for sharing!
That's so funny - I literally just did a post featuring that last image of the front of Stella's house - mesmerising isn't it! It's probably the only image I can think of that I would happily place on my bedroom wall like a teenager lusting after a pop group. Sad how life catches up with you - it used to be hot, young men, and now it's fabulous garden's full of wisteria...sigh!
ReplyDeleteWow! She has everything! An apparently wonderful husband, a nice house, a dog... and the best: sash windows and a brick alley...
ReplyDeleteOh, thank-you so much for sharing this beautiful garden. I love it, especially the more informal, rambling bit and the house is to die for. Have a lovely day Sarah. Leahx
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love gardens with round bushes. It really gives the garden stature and it doesn't have to cost a fortune. Stella's gardens are lovely. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteTruly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIncredibly beautiful, Sarah. Wow. I could get lost in that garden and be perfectly happy! :)

ReplyDeleteNo wonder she dishes out so much beauty in her creations...
ReplyDeleteso much inspiration in that place, I bet the house is as equally gorgeous as that garden.
I'm far too jealous right now.....it was the horses that did it for me.....darn her success! x
ReplyDeleteThat is a seriously stunning garden and the house isn't bad too!!!
ReplyDeleteA lovely inspirational post - thank you!
Garden envy has definitely set in. I love the country garden section, and no the house is definitely not too shabby :)
ReplyDeleteThe gardens and that house.... WOW. She is one lucky girl indeed!
ReplyDeleteI love her gardens, her house and her gorgeous horses! She is one lucky girl, she must have a rich husband, right? And they are over-rated, plain, good, hard-working husbands are wonderful, too!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cindy
One lucky lady indeed, I hope she appreciates all the beauty she is surrounded by.
ReplyDeleteHey - thanks for featuring my garden...NOT! I wish my garden and house looks this good. I'll keep dreaming and working on it :O)

I find it amazing that no one else has said it. "If I had her money-I would have a garden like that too". It truly is amazing what a little money can do- hire the right people and BAM- you have a wonderful, magical place to call your own!! It is a pretty amazing place!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful. I loved it all. Thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteLeslie
Okay, that is the most gorgeous garden ever and so romantic too. You're so cute saying well she doesn't have horses, right...heehee. I guess some people do have it all ;) Hope you're feeling well. Take it easy!

ReplyDeleteStella's property is so lush and lovely. Wow she definitely has Paul's eyes!
ReplyDeleteLove your sharing !
ReplyDeleteWow You have given awesome gardening images. I like each and every garden image of Stella's incredible garden. Thanks for share this valuable post.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me very much of a description of a garden in Victor Hugo's Les Misérables. When Jean Val Jean and Cosette live in Paris together, before she gets married.
