Hey chickadees,
*******************
Did I mention
{as if I wouldn't have...}
Monday is the day of a hot-tottie giveaway?
Remember me reviewing Holly Becker
and Joanna Copestick's
That's the puppy!
Monday 29th.
Be there....
*********************
When I saw this room for the first time,
palpitations were the order of the day.
The beautiful mixture of old and new is
so perfectly Modern Country.
The colour palette.
*swoon*
The fireplace.
*sigh*
The old-fashioned telephone.
*faint*
The fabrics.
*thump, thump, thump*
Now, I don't know about you
but I'm feeling as though chocolate is needed
to get me through this heart-racing ordeal.
See you by the chocolate stash?
{Please tell me you have one too...}

I like the colours palette..I have exactly the same lantern that lies on the fireplace and my mum owns a vintage telephone like the one in picture, but it's yellow!
ReplyDeleteA big hug

ReplyDeletevery tasteful decor! Nice!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Desparate for my own house now so I can get decorating. Wonder what the wall colour was? Was it this months magazine?
ReplyDeleteoh, that's a lovely room! The fireplace, the chunky table... love! You are feeding my decorating addiction...
ReplyDeleteIs it possible to have table envy? Must go have chocolate-wouldn't want you to indulge alone.

ReplyDeleteVery, very nice post.
ReplyDeleteLike the colouers. You´re right
Lovely hugs

It's a lovely room, but I have a few reservations about:
ReplyDelete1. the dog (not a dog person, sorry!);
2. the mugs - I find things always taste funny out of metal mugs;
3. the coal bucket because it has wood in it, which messes with my world view.
I do like pretty much everything else, though!
Oh, and I am the keeper of the chocolate for both myself and my wife, and I'm not telling anyone where it is!
Oooo isn't that such a dreamy and comfortable space?!! I'm with you, patootie! It looks like you just want to hang out with a cup of coffee and read your favortie book/magazine. The table and candlesticks are really stunning!
ReplyDeleteHope you've had a wonderful weekend!
Love to you...
To me, the dog makes it look so comfy and welcoming... I mean a dog would know where in the house it's best to rest.
ReplyDeleteNote to self: try to include a nice armchair in my tiny dining-room!
So thankful
ReplyDeletefor you, today,
and the smile
that I ALWAYS
leave your blog
with : ) I LOVE
this room, too!
I am slowly bringing
more blue into our
world at home, so
this speaks to me.
xx Suzanne
PS: Stash? Heck,
yes. I'll need to
dip into it on Wed,
when my kids go back
to school...sniff, sniff.
This is my kind of paradise!! Great room.
ReplyDeleteI love the wingback chair the best! Just think - someone gets to come home to that beautiful room every day. I must be doing something wrong:)
ReplyDeleteVery attractive Sarah.
ReplyDeleteSarah,
ReplyDeleteVery restful colors! Oh, and yes...my chocolate stash is in the Studio on the lower level!
Fondly,
Pat
It is lovely and not too pretty pretty, which is the category my house falls into. A bit of modern is good too. There can be a bit too much shabby chic.
ReplyDeleteI do miss the chazza shops soooooooo much. What a saddo I am ! xxx
Yummmm, the colours in this room are absolutely gorgeous! You have such great style, my lovely :)
ReplyDeleteMeera xx
Oh my I would love to win stores around here don't carry and good magazines but BHG unless you go to Joanns and pay a small fortune!
ReplyDeleteI found this post yesterday, intended to pin it, then lost the post. This morning, I looked through all of your posts to find this blue checked wing back chair. The fireplace, the dining table...I love this room. I have moved into a open concept home and have little room to make statements. Also, a hubby who does NOT agree with my tastes :( Somehow, I am going to incorporate this look into what we have. Hugs, Jan
ReplyDeleteDo you have any more pictures of this home? I am actuallly using this dining area picture to follow throughout my home....navy blue, browns, creams...I would love to see the bedroom of this home. I saw that it came from 25 Beautiful Homes and I just cannot find it. Please help!!! Hugs, Jan
ReplyDeleteLovely lovely indeed! Esp the nice blend of fabric patterns, the large plaid with the subtle stripe in the blinds. Definitely a Modern Country look!
