This is officially one of the most beautiful gardens I've seen.
A brilliant example of what I was talking about in
and one that could work perfectly as
a completely gorgeous small garden.
I love the mix of Modern formal structure....
those topiary balls, the centred bird bath, the geometrically-angled brick paths, the symmetry...
and the way it's countered by Country softness
that billowing cloud of pale pink roses, with spilt petals left unswept on the ground, the beautifully aged wooden bench, the feeling of overgrown lushness.
Modern Country Gardens are my cup of tea.
And, speaking of tea, fancy a sit-down and a warm drink with me?
YUM!
Oh I love that bench!! I'll be right over for tea :)

ReplyDeleteGarden perfection. I do so love small, romantic, slightly (but controlled!)overgrown, petals strewn on the ground, types of garden. Just ideal for those relaxing and lingering moments, with a glass of wine, sitting on that lovely wooden bench on a warm summer's day - or better still, in the early evening, with the sun slowly setting, soaking up those delightful heady scents of roses. Thank you, Sarah, for allowing me a moment or two of delightful reflection ! - Angela
ReplyDeleteYou're right that is a gorgeous garden, I love the climbing pink flowers, roses I assume. I've always wanted that in my garden. How I would love to fancy a cup of tea with you on that sweet garden bench. It would be so relaxing.

Hugs, Cindy

ReplyDeleteOh, I’d be delighted to have tea in a lazy afternoon with you in that gorgeous garden. But, what actually crossed my mind as I gazed at these photos is my ideal secret garden. It would be marvelous to just sit down, enjoy the view, and discard all my worries away in that garden.
