Bunting In Our Girls' Bedroom

I had to wait a long, looooong time before I stumbled on this gorgeous bunting. What do you think? Was it worth the wait?

Some might have called me unbelievably picky when I was on the hunt for bunting suitable for our girls' bedroom. It had to be juuuuuuuuuust right. Not too colourful, and not too bold, plus the pattern had to tie in with the bedding, lampshade and curtains

It was a toughie, let me tell you! I searched high and low....

....and nearly squealed with excitement when I finally spotted this lovely long length brand new on eBay. It has such a pretty design. The bunting is very plain colour-wise: simple white cotton printed on both sides with soft florals and stripes in dark pinky-red.

On Monday, I'll be revealing our Modern Country Girls' Bedroom in its entirety....eeeek!

In the meantime, have a wonderful, wonderful weekend.

  3. Suits their bedroom to a tee... or a bunting.
It's gorgeous, feminine and very exquisite. Just the sort of mood you've been investing for that space.

  5. Gorgeous! I adore bunting. When I was searching for bunting for my girls' room, I too searched for something that wasn't too colourful or garish, with a pattern that would suit the room as they grew older. How I prayed that Cabbages & Roses would make bunting, since at the time (about 7 years ago) the idea of attempting to make anything myself was a ridiculous notion (This was me as a time-stretched career woman in London!). The closest I got was TheWHite Company, which at the time had some green in it, and I deliberated for ages whether I could handle the green, as though it were a life and death situation - ha ha!
I can't wait to see the whole room in it's entirety - I already know that it will be stunning.

  7. Have you ever made any bunting? Is it easy? I have a ton of material and and tempted to try... but am not the most handy of ladies when it comes to sewing!
