English Country House....With Gorgeous Country Kitchen

Hey rabbits,

How's this for a good start to the day?
A gorgeous English Country house,
complete with beautiful country kitchen.....

Let's have a good snoop together, shall we?
Err.....I think that's a yes.

I could dive right into that gorgeous red stove.
{Painful, yes, but worth it.}

Emma Bridgewater teapot, don't think I can't see you there, in all your rotund perfection.

And, let's be honest, who doesn't need a shovel in the kitchen? ;-)

Most of the fabrics in this house are by Laura Ashley.
I love the way the palette is so simple.

All greens and reds. Yum. I bet this looks gorgeous at Christmas.

This is definitely a country house
but one that flirts deliciously with an all-white modern edge.
Isn't it beautifully light and airy?

I'm not quite sure how much sleeping would go on with those four beds in a row like that in the children's room but it looks completely fabulous.

And, oh, that candlabra is just the height of delightfulness in the bathroom.
{But...errrm....mind the dripping wax.}

So, you like?

Gorgeous! I love those colors, too, and really love those beds all lined up in a row, I can imagine the giggling that goes on at night in that room! :0)

This is just gorgeous!! I have been seriously drawn to English country houses lately. I love the wood stoves, especially the cook stove and the colors are so fresh and clean.

Aww this home is SOOOOOOO charming!! I'm totally smitten! The 4 kids must love their room, once the parents think they are in bed, I can only imagine the mischief they'd get up to!! Such a sweet place! xx

Some of the piccies are just heavenly! I do love red and white together, especially at this time of year. I am in the process of doing my living room in these colours, with a bit of beige to warm it up. Those red check curtains would look lovely in my room (I have white muslin still at the moment)........wonder where they are from.

I'm pretty certan they are from the British store Laura Ashley. I recognise the check.

Love the look. It almost has a Scandinavian feel to it, with all the white and red. So fresh and bright.

So much to oggle at here. Love the children's room - so cute, neat and tidy (how unlike my beloved daughter's room). Like you, I adore the red aga. Not sure about the lamps on either side of it, though. They'd be knocked over in a flash in our house - too many clumsy people, unfortunately. xx

I'm not sure that it is healthy to want a place as much as I want this one. What great ideas. My mind is whirling for all that I can steal for my new basement reno.

There is just something about that red and white combo that is so cheerful, I love it! And an open fire/jotul in a kitchen is one of my ultimate house wishes, my norwegian friends have them and they are the most cosy thing, and I grew up with one in my childhood home and I MISS IT!

May I also say that is a serious hair-do I spotted!!xx

Sarah @ Modern Country Style said...

Ha! That's so funny, Belinda. You are right!! That is certainly a very serious hair-do. ;-)

Oh, and a fireplace in the bathroom would be my dream, I think.

THAT is 4 beds in a row...and when my 4 kiddos shared a room, well, let's just say...getting everyone to sleep at night was rough some nights.

I love all those rooms. I most definitely could or should have a new mantel inspired by the ones in these photos...
And you right about the color scheme.

all lovely!

It's beautiful Sarah, and I think...there are 4 beds? hehe
I love the tins at the foot of the beds, for laundry I'm assuming.
I also love Laura Ashley fabrics, I've had a book from way back to inspire some of my own florals.
A wonderful tour!

Ah...That first picture! Swoon... Everything is just perfect and cheered me up after a day at work. The picture of the rocking-chair with all those Emma Bridgewater mugs, re-swoon. The bathroom, re-re-swoon. The three pictures are going to my inspiration book!

Hello lovely friend! My heart went pitter patter during that entire post just soaking in all of those lovely red accents and the beauty of this home. Do you think those metal bins at the foot of the beds are used for dirty clothes hampers? That would be very clever! Thanks so much for sharing this with us today!

Absolutely Gorgeous! Definitely loving the massive table in the kitchen with the pull out cereal draws, and also the sweet little curtain hiding the stem of the bathroom sink!

Just wonderful - I really should take tips on the simple colour pallet!

Well done for finding this gem Sarah!

hahaha! You crack me right up! Love it ;)

This house looks like something out of a fairytale or a packet of sweets. It's lovely and cute and I would totally try out every single one of those little twin beds :) but I don't think I could live there.

Such a cute find though! Hope you are having a fabulicous week!

Exactly the type of charming home I'd want to live in when we move overseas. Jeff was actually talking about it, last night, in real terms :) Ahhhh! This might be a budget buster but a girl can dream. I love how happy this home feels. The kitchen island is made for a family. I also adore the gingham chairs by the fireplace. Oh, and least not forget the tub.

Ciao... tootie!
