Define Your Blog Link Party

Hello poppet,

Welcome to Modern Country Style's
Define Your Blog Link Party.

Look at your gorgeous hair? Did you do that just for today? You'll be the belle of the ball, you little minx.

Now, before we start, let's have a little recap of the week, shall we?

On Monday, I showed you how I put together Inspiration Posts.

Yesterday, I tried to define how I see the Creation part of my blog, using the Modern Country Crafts that I've made.

So today's question is:
how do I define Modern Country Renovation?

The Renovation part of Modern Country Style
is there because we moved to an
Edwardian house in the Cotswolds, England,
which needed a complete overhaul.

We're about half-way through the whole process now and having a blog has been a great way to help me chart all the ups and downs as we work at getting the look we want.

I think you might have guessed that I have a
huuuuuge passion for
Modern Country Interiors.

I find it takes the best of Traditional Country and combines it with a mellowed Modern look, and, perhaps more practically, it stands up pretty well to having our four little children scurrying around the place!

Modern Country Interiors can encompass so many
other looks that I love. I can easily fit in
a bit of Soft Industrial here and a bit of Belgian there,
with a touch of English Country too.
Those can all be accommodated with a bit of a twist to make a look that's completely unique to me.

Why don't I take you on a
whistle stop tour of the
Before and Afters in our home
and you can see what I mean?

{If the tour feels a bit too fast then feel free to click on each of the After images, which will take you to all related posts, which will give you more details and more photos.}

Click on the image to see all Dining Room posts

The Dining Room before we moved in.

Want to see more of our kitchen? Just click on the photo...

Our Kitchen before we moved in.

To see all Master Bedroom posts just click on the photo

Our Master Bedroom before we moved in.

If you want to stay a while longer in our garden, just click on the image to be taken to garden posts.

So, what's coming up next on
Modern Country Style?
Aah, now that would be telling.

But you can rest assured that there'll be:
a sprinkling of Modern Country Inspiration,
plenty of Modern Country Renovation
and a healthy dose of Modern Country Creation.

Yes, *that's* the definition of Modern Country Style.

How do YOU define YOUR blog?
Are you linking up?

Here are two things I'd love you to do:

1) Follow Modern Country Style if you like what you see here.

2) Link back to me in your post so other people can come and find the party.
Here's a button if you'd like one:

Not rules, exactly...but I'm hopeful. ;-)

And now? Now, my lovely, it's YOUR turn.

Oooh look at me, first one here! Well I hope you realise it's just about noon so I've brought some wine. I think I need it after writing my monster post in response to your challenge ;)

It's amazing what you've done to your place to make it such a lovely relaxed and welcoming home. Your garden? Well, yes, Secret Garden eat your heart out.

And thank you, I wore this special updo and tiara just for you. You are looking rather fetching as always my darling!

Hi Sarah, I didn't think I was going to join because I never took the time to articulate to myself what my blog was about. So the other day, I "definitionized" one of my draft posts. And I think it's a decent representation of my blog, because it's not really all about me. So thankfully I feel equipped to join you! You're really a great inspiration and I love where your blog is going. Keeps me interested! hope you have a lovely day :)

Hey! Thanks for hosting....what a great idea! I had problems with the code in your button. It just kept repeating itself and I couldn't make it work, so I just added a link in my post. Can't wait to dig around in others' blogs.....what fun!

Ahhh...you are too kind! Since my hair looks like I combed it with a rock this morning that just means so much to have you think it looks gorgeous. LOL! This is such a great idea for a party Sarah and I linked up our very first post where we did little videos describing our purpose and desire for our blog. Hope that counts as "defining it"! :-) Can't wait to go mingle with the other party-goers and thank you so much for being such a lovely hostess.
Vanessa
P.S. Did you notice that we made you a blog button on our sidebar? :-)

I am standing here in my party frock, feeling rather a berk, somehow I seem to have linked the first one in error, so I tried again, second time around it worked! But you have now got 2 images on your post- OH Help!

What did I say about wanting to be stylish and missing the mark!!!!

Wonderful idea - a lovely get together,

Sue xxxx

Good morning, Sarah, our lovely hostess.

I had an emergency root canal at 7 pm last night, so today I am in sweats and on a few drugs, but am still happy to be here. I think Modern Country Style includes . . . come as you are, right?

I will be reading all these great posts, as I rest today. Thanks for providing my days entertainment.

I love your blog.

Fondly,
Glenda

Lol @ Michelle and you - Daffydowndilly. I had my daughter repeating after me yesterday "Good morning my flora dora hunky dory daffy down dilly". Did you ever watch Black Books? Hunky Dory reminds me of when Bernard orders from the fast food chain that strange sounding burger, anyway....Loving the partay! But about to crash and burn - finally - it's 2.21am here. I'm sure I'll be sayin' hi to more guests tomorrow. You're such an awesome host.

Hi there! Thanks so much for popping into my blog and leaving such sweet comments. I REALLY did want that glider too and the price was right, but we drove to the show in my friends NEW Car and I'm afraid we would have scuffed the car beyond repair if we'd tried to get the glidder in....hehehe. I've added myself as YOUR newest follower. I love your Modern Country Style and can't wait to look thru your wonderful blog! Happy Weekend......hope you have good weather!

I am seriously so sad that I didn't get to do this. I was really looking forward to it and thought that I would have slow week last week..not to be. I had old clients crawling out of the woodwork to get their massages, which I shouldn't complain, but still, I wanted to be here. This week is more of the same. I am a terrible friend, and apologize for it...publicly.
