Smart Casual in the Dining Room

It's YOU!
HOORAY!

And how are you today?

These photos I've taken sum up the feel that I want in our dining room. Firmly linked to the kitchen but with a relaxed formality.
Or...ahem...smart casual...
{.....that made me laugh when I thought of it!}

A place where I can sit and chat
with my bestest friends
over a pot of tea and
my some of my favourite
Emma Bridgewater mugs.

Oooh, look at those mugs.
Do you like them?
Do you want them?.......

I have a secret for you, my pretties.
You're in luck!
Boogie on by on Monday.
I think you'll have a big smile on your face....

Oh I just adore anything Emma Bridgewater and I have yet to buy any of it, since for me in the states it is a bit expensive :(
There are some places that carry it here, but again, the price tag hurts. I will stop being so cheap one day and get some mugs! I love yours! Hmmmm, I am excited to see about this giveaway....

love the idea of 'smart casual' Sarah! Relaxed, but with some thought put into it, so its something out of the ordinary but not showy.

Sarah,

Hi! I'm a new follower, so I thought I'd drop by to say hello. I saw your kitchen redo, which inspired me, as we moved into our home last month (fixer), and can't really afford a total kitchen makeover. And so it was nice to see something as simple as a fresh coat of white paint plus new hardware and some lovely accessories to spruce up the place. ;) And I laughed bc you're like me when it comes to buying new accents here and there and collecting them, but waiting until all the hard work has been done before placing them out! ;) Anyway, I'm new to blogland and I look forward to your posts.

Cheers from SoCali,
Jessie

No, no, no! You got me all excited and mouthwatering... Now I probably won't be able to sleep thinking of all the implications of what you wrote...
Also, can't wait for new tips on dining-rooms as mine is now a "clean slate" (not really clean and very dusty, actually).
