Modern Country Wreath Reveal

Hello cherubs,

We are cracking on with these Autumn posts, aren't we?
The gorgeous autumn new build.

And now the big reveal!

All gearing up for the
Fall In Love link party
on Wednesday 5th October.

What will you link up?

I usually save my wreath-making for Christmas
but I've really enjoyed putting together a simpler version for Autumn.

I purposefully didn't tell you the names of the plants I've used because I wanted you not to feel fixed in your choices. You may well not have the plants I have in my garden, or in your local hedgerows. But I bet that somewhere near you, there are gorgeous plants for the taking.

All you truly need to add to your base for a simple wreath like this
is a layer of greenery and a layer of berrification.

The excellent thing about 'real' wreaths is that as bits droop (as they will), you can just replace them. If leaves gradually brown, you can pull them off.

It's the only way to keep them looking fresh and beautiful.

I love the deep red of the berries, rubily shiny and plumptious.

Now then, the weather here is simply crying out for a bit of an Autumn outfit....I'll be sharing one of my favourites on Friday.

I'm linking to my favourite parties, including:

Oh, how pretty, Sarah! I love your front door ♥

That's just gorgeous, Sarah, with its pops of colour. I am so intrigued by the whole northern hemisphere wreath idea - in Australia, we occasionally hang them for Christmas. That's it. J x

Very pretty. I have never make a wreath before. Everyone else makes it seem intimidating, but you make it look like something I might actually be able to do!

Sarah, it's so pretty, and the photos are awesome. Very inviting door too. I have the same plant just outside my front door and have never thought of making a wreath from it. Can't wait to see your Fall Fashions. xxx tami

Just lovely - I also love your very grown up front door, ours is a 1970's double glazed horror, that I can hardly bear to look at. Perhaps if I make a VERY large wreath I can cover most of it.

Your door is as lovely as the wreath. I love simple wreaths! Hooray for Fall!

Your wreath is SO pretty! Simple yet elegant. Did you just pin it to a form? I'd love to make one {with my two thumbs, of course!}

Gorgeous! Your door is also gorgeous. Is it painted white? Or is it a super light crisp aqua? Mmm I love paint colors that are almost-not-there.

Sarah, I've just noticed that your commenting link says "No lurking allowed."

I must confess. I've been lurking. I've read your blog many times, and I've been a follower for awhile, but I don't think I've left many comments. I aim to change that bad habit.

Your wreath looks lovely, and I very much appreciated your step-by-step instructions in your previous post as well. I love your idea for a "Fall in Love" party!

Reading your writing is such a pleasure. I am a confirmed Anglophile, so it's a treat to get a glimpse into your life in the U.K. And I deeply admire your use of the language.

All the best!

Your door looks so welcoming. It invites everyone to come in and enjoy spending time with you.

Well, this looks awesome! Yesterday, I went for a walk with my youngest daughter through the forest and we saw almost the same berries. Only the leafs are different (ours weren't so round). Now that I see your wreath, I know I have to go back and take a few with me ;) Thanks for the inspiration!

Beautiful simple living. Someone told me once that if I would just put my live wreaths in the shower for a drink once a week, they would last throughout the season. She was correct! Thank you for sharing your lovely design. Cherry Kay
