Best Soft Industrial Home in the World....Ever!

Oh. My. Good. Aunt. Nelly.

Please be warned if you have a weakness for gorgeous Modern Country Style. These may send you over the edge into...

*insert Jaws theme tune*

 Decor Oblivion.

{It's where I am now. Decor Oblivion, I mean. It's rather nice, actually. Not at all how I imagined.}

I first saw some of the images of this home featured at Mari's gorgeous blog Crea Mari Crea, which is FULL of fabulous inspiration plus she has her own beautiful Italian house.

She's lush.

{Thank you, Mari}

When I set my hungry eyes on these images, my heart starting beating like a drum. I had to track down the rest of the house IMMEDIATELY!!

I could feel my blood coursing through my body. It was.....ooooohhh.....love at first sight.

All the rest of my plans for the day seemed to suddenly fade away into insignificance. I just want to sit and stare and soak it all up.

{Cleaning....washing.....ironing.....can't you see I'm busy ogling? Stop calling me with your irritating little squeaky voices.}

Isn't it completely heavenly?

These images encapsulate perfectly the Modern edge of Modern Country Style.

Soft industrial deliciousness.

Softened by the country touches in this house - the scrubbed farmhouse table, the tongue and groove walls, the bunting, the material under the sink, the soft neutrals - the modern, industrial look suddenly becomes welcoming and cosy.

Just the sort of house I'd love to visit.

{Or gatecrash, to be honest, if no invitation becomes apparent. ;-) Do you fancy joining me?!}

And guess what? Our heating has been fixed. Huzzah! I nearly cried with happiness and had to restrain myself from giving the mender-man a big hug.

Honestly, I would have given him my life savings if he'd asked.

Luckily for Mr Modern Country, mender-man didn't ask.

Have a wonderful weekend, peeps.

Hey sweets!!

After we get kicked out of that last beautiful house you shared (you know, the one with the Aga that I sprawled across like a bikini clad car model...nup, not a pretty picture) you KNOW I will be there gate-crashing with you! Bags are packed, just let me know when we go!

...that first image set my heart fluttering as well,... What a gorgeous, stunning, beautiful home.

Love it!!

Do you think a bottle or two of very good Red may soften up Mari??? After all gate-crashing should be a civilised thing......

That house has seamless design! I love how each room flows together. Great bits and bobs of red! YUM! My favorite is the craft room. The clock missing the 5 is perfection.

Tell those voices you hear (lol) to stop talking to my voices because I have tons of laundry to do :)

Take care, sweet friend!

RED's comment is very funny!
Although I am Italian and I live in Piedmont, land of great wines like Barolo, Nebbiolo, Moscato, etc., I do not drink any alcoholic beverage!
I drink only water, I'm sorry

First off. I a sure glad you are no longer cold. We had a funace malfunction in November and were without heat for 10 days.

The house you posted seems like a dream. How can anyone really have so many cool elements in one house?

The lockers. The little cubbies. The little drawers. THE little everything.

And that beam exposed cottage ceiling? Does that not just bring it all together?

This girl has an eye for perfect styling,and an ability to find the almost unfindable.

What a way to open my computer this morning.
Way to go for posting such an appealing home.

Definitely the kind of home (and photos) that you just have to keep going back to in order to soak it all in. So many great pieces in one home, sigh.

Love all the small compartmentalized drawers in so many of the rooms. I have one set of compartmentalized drawers that I acquired from Hailey road primary school. I painted them blue and keep all my art stuff in them and have stamped what's in each drawer with vintagey ink letter stamps. I love them!

You can visit this house!!! it belongs to a friend of mine, her name is Christelle and she owns a shop in one part of her house. She leaves in France, obviously, but if you happen to be around you just need to pop in to visit the shop, and if you are nice enough she may let let you visit the rest of the house!!!
She has got a blog http://borddescene.canalblog.com/
and an online shop... She has great taste and the decor always moves around in the house, it is gorgeous!!
