Moving House!!!!!

Remember, I said I had something important to share with you and it's this....

We were very prepared to stay in our much-loved Edwardian house for life. Large period properties rarely come up where we live. Then way back in November, oh joy!, we stumbled upon a house that ticked all our boxes. Right location, right size and, be still my beating heart, a Georgian beauty that needs bringing back to life.

And, boyohboyohboy, have I been busy! Buuuuuuut before I dive right into what we're currently doing, let's backtrack together so I can share some of what I've learnt....hopefully saving you heartache along the way...

Buckle your seatbelts, my poppets, it's gonna be a bumpy ride...

Moving must be in the air—we just moved too! Sold the house in Atlanta and moved to Cashiers, N.C.. We love it up here in the mountains.

Congratulations on your new home! You must be so excited. I know that moving can be a stressful time but I am sure that you will be able to handle everything this move will throw at you. Georgian houses are always so beautiful and you are surely going to make it a stunning home. Remember to take time to relax during your move.

I'd love to see pictures after the removalists are done with setting all your things down in the new place. I bet that you make your new home even better than your last!

So many stately Georgian homes have been lost from neglect, therefore it's good to hear that someone is excited to tackle a restoration project. While you sound sorry to leave your current home, just image how elated a buyer will feel to find a well cared for Edwardian house for sale.

This place is absolutely gorgeous, beautiful and stunning. Even though a few halls are equally appealing and fascinating in their decor, food and aesthetics, I'm tempted to still give this venue NYC a slight edge.
