New home for a cushion in the Master Bedroom

I promised that I had the perfect home in mind for the vintage-style button heart cushion I made (for tutorial see here). And here it is! Up in our Modern Country Master bedroom. Come right in....don't be shy!

I decided it would be best out of the way of twiddly, fidgety fingers in our bedroom. Do you have any fiddly fingers in your home? We have four littlies so that's FORTY twiddly fingers.

See my tempting buttons....don't you want to twiddle them?

Hmmm....do you see where I'm going with this? Look at those buttons. Tempting, aren't they?

And that's a lot of buttons to fiddle with on that cushion. See why I thought the bedroom might be a safer option?!! Actually, on the whole, the kiddiewinks are great around the house. Very little crashing and bashing of Mummy's Things goes on.

Have you seen our Master bedroom before? If not, come on in! You can have a little look at the Before and After here, or by clicking on the photo of the Master Bedroom in the Sidebar. In fact, you can click on any of the 'room' photos in the sidebar if you fancy a fuller tour. More rooms will be added as soon as they're finished.

I think I whizzed through our rooms a bit at the beginning of Modern Country Style..I've had a lot of emails asking questions about it so I'll be putting up fuller posts shortly.

Anyway, here is my new cushion in its new home! Doesn't it look snug as bug in a rug? There's no fidgety fingers up here so I think all will be well.

Your bedroom is very sweet, I love your duvet. You lovely pillow looks right at home and safe, away from twiddly fingers. No, I don't have any little ones around, only grand-kids who visit occasionally and they are old enough to know better, I think.
I thought my master bedrm was small, but yours may be a wee bit smaller. It does look very cozy, though, I like the old suitcase at the end of the bed, I could do that!
I love your crafts, I shall check out the Christmas decor below.
I'm surprised that England does not celebrate a Thanksgiving at some time, Canada, who has adopted many British traditions, has followed the USA in this one.
Hugs, Cindy

Dear Sarah, What a perfect haven of tranquillity your bedroom looks. The cushion is a wonderful addition and adds to the overall luxuriousness of the scene - perhaps another three or more would not go amiss?!!

It looks perfectly wonderful there!

I don't have twiddly fingers in the house so much as light fingers, thirty of them...I'm constantly "losing" my scissors, tape, pens, etc. For the past week I haven't been able to find my dental floss; last night I found it in my daughter's school bag. She shares it with her friend and they lick off the mint flavor!

My what a cozy little nest, quite the nice home for your little cushion. I have a pair of twiddly fingers at my house too, attached to a little girl who loves to mess with things. She would likely get the scissors out and try to cut off the buttons. I had to laugh when I read Holly's comment about the dental floss, my daughter likes to chew it like it's gum :)

Your cushion looks gorgeous as does your bedroon. Yes, I know what you mean about fiddly fingers. The fiddly fingers in our house also tend to be mucky and rather sticky fingers. I, on the other hand, am known for my clumsy fingers. xx

I love your cushion...very sweet and soooo neat...and your room looks lovely. I really like the soft colours too...which reminds me, we need to decorate our room, still got my daughter's pinky red 'blackboard' circle on the wall from when we swapped over! I do enjoy seeing your blog, it's very inspiring! xx

Hi! Oh my goodness, your comment you just left on my blog was so sweet so I clicked on your profile and then I clicked on your blog and just thought, "now this is a gal after my own heart!" :-) And, you live in the Cotswolds, which was my most favorite place we visited when we went to Europe a few years ago!!! I took a shameful amount of photos there! Thanks so much for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing more of you here in blogland!

That bed looks heavenly...a perfect little cubby nest to curl up in. Your pillow is darling and looks like it was made for the bed.

I don't have twiddly fingers, but I have BOYS. Especially an eleven year old whirlwind of a boy. I keep glass breakables to a minimum in our house!

Lovely cozy room. Love the pillow, I did something like this but in a fleur de lis pattern on the pillow. I love using old pearl buttons for many crafts.
